RIDE SUMMARY

This road is enjoyable and the views of the coast and mountains found along this road, makes the ride very memorable.  The ride started in Stinson Beach and looped inland along the parameters of Tamalpais State Park and Muir Woods National Monument. You can either take Muir Woods Road from Panoramic Highway to complete the loop back Highway 1 and Muir Beach. Or you can continue on Panoramic Highway until reaching Homestead Valley and Highway 1. If you do this you will find yourself about 4 miles SE of Muir Beach along  Highway 1.

Be very aware of cross traffic and slower moving commercial vehicles.  When weather conditions limit road visibility gauging distance can become difficult.

For the best riding experience, choose to do this ride during off peak traffic hours and when weather and visibility won’t be a concern issue.
