Deer Park Road is a nice prelude road for riders to begin their back road adventures around the Lake Berryessa area. Deer Park Road offers a nice array of laidback sweeping turns, an above average road surface, decent visibility and very few road debris obstacles that allows even the newest of riders the chance to enjoy the beautiful outlining scenery.
Though most of the road has sweeping turns, there are a few sharp turns that should be approached with caution. The road is well posted with cautionary signs in areas along this route, so have a look and watch for them.
There is an elementary school approximately 3-5 miles after crossing over Silverado Trails Road. Be advised that the local children still use the school playground during the weekend so be sure to watch out as you pass.
Overall this is a very nice calm road, so allow yourself enough time to enjoy it. After all, this ride is all about taking in the sun and enjoying the relaxing scenery.
